Why Blogging?

9:21:00 AM

Nothing special today but just a wild idea that I've been holding on to these past few days. "I want to write again." Those 5 words, that I know means nothing to you but for me means that in the next few months I might actually be more... I don't know, you tell me! Hahaha!

So writing a blog, Hmm.. or what's more popularly known as "blogging", so why do people nowadays do it? I've listed few things that I think why people are into it.

1. You are a Chronic Complainer.

Venting out to your friends and family are not enough, so you angrily type on your laptop and created a blog to pour on angst towards politics, society and attitude of people around you. You always think that announcing on your social media about that how traffic sucks in this country that makes you pissed about the government. You create so much hate on everything that people who reads your blog starts to wonder if they can join you on your rally.

2. You are a Fashion-Enthusiast.

You are a spoiled kid who gets everything he/she wants like that Balenciaga bag that I was eying for almost a year now, but as for you, you have them in three freaking colors! You love fashion and would want to be as close as Rachelle Zoe. You create a blog to post your #ootd and just bring on envy to everyone who reads it. (But for me, this is actually one of the reasons why I started reading blogs) Fashion Blogs is also one of the easiest way to be noticed because Pinoys are well-known to be one of the most well-dressed and talented when it comes to fashion all over the world (eg. Michael Cinco, Monique Lluhieur)

3. You are a Guinea Pig.

Like any lab rat, everything has to be tested by you. So whenever there's a new restaurant, you have to check it out and blog about it. Or if there's a new hang-out place even if its 2 hours away from your home, you'd have to go! It's your duty and responsibility to your readers that you go first because your readers trust you so much that they value your opinion. This kind of blogging is one of the most crucial parts for entrepreneurs, because it can either be good or bad for their business. (So do write responsibly and fairly!)

4. You are Dora the Explorer.

And because you just quit your job and realized "F*** it!", "YOLO!" (You Only Live Once!). You travel the globe with your magic laptop and your durable Go-Pro camera, to show your readers what to be excited about for their next vacation. You are the most likable person in the internet because not only do you share your experiences of being at different hotels, airlines, tourist spots and etc. You help your readers to save more money because of your "traveling tips".

5. You are BORED.

You don't know what to do with your life anymore, like after work, after you had a date with your significant other, after you had a practice for Martial arts, after playing that Play Station 4. You just always have that moment of stillness. Blogging is your past time, it makes you be the person you want to be. There are people that are so good with speaking, and that's not you. You are good with words and writing is your weapon (just like Jose Rizal) but don't be a Hero who dies in vain. Be someone they would really look up to.

"So which of them are you?" That's probably your question for me, I'd like to think that I am all of the above. That's why I named my blog as Food, Fashion & Feelings. I wanted to do everything. Blogging is one of the most creative outputs for any human being. Any one can do it, as long as you put your heart into it.
